Crockpot Thai Basil Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

  • 500g ground chicken
  • 60ml soy sauce
  • 30ml fish sauce
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 small red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 30g fresh Thai basil
  • Lettuce cups (butter or iceberg)

Instructions

  1. In a crockpot, combine 500g of ground chicken, 60ml soy sauce, 30ml fish sauce, and the juice of 2 limes.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of minced ginger, and 1 small diced red bell pepper.
  3. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of red chili flakes (adjust to taste) and mix all ingredients well.
  4. Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours until chicken is fully cooked.
  5. Stir in 30g of fresh Thai basil right before serving.
  6. For serving, spoon the mixture into rinsed and dried lettuce cups (such as butter or iceberg lettuce).
