Ingredients

  • 500 grams boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 400 grams chopped carrots
  • 200 grams chopped celery
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 500 milliliters chicken broth
  • 300 milliliters heavy cream
  • 250 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 120 milliliters milk

Instructions

  1. In a crockpot, place 500 grams of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, 400 grams of chopped carrots, and 200 grams of chopped celery.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  3. Pour in 500 milliliters of chicken broth and cover the crockpot.
  4. Set the crockpot on low and cook for 6 hours.
  5. After 6 hours, shred the chicken with two forks and stir in 300 milliliters of heavy cream.
  6. Prepare the dumplings by mixing 250 grams of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 120 milliliters of milk in a bowl.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling batter into the hot chicken mixture in the crockpot.
  8. Cover and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes, until the dumplings are fluffy and cooked through.
  9. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs.
