Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 200 grams frozen peas
  • 200 grams diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 700 grams potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 100 milliliters milk
  • 100 grams shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown 500 grams of ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add 1 finely chopped onion, 2 diced carrots, and 2 minced garlic cloves to the skillet. Sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in 200 grams of frozen peas, 200 grams of diced tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker and spread it evenly.
  5. Prepare the mashed potatoes by boiling 700 grams of peeled and chopped potatoes until soft, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with 4 tablespoons of butter and 100 milliliters of milk until creamy.
  6. Spread the mashed potatoes over the meat mixture in the slow cooker, smoothing out the top.
  7. Sprinkle 100 grams of shredded cheese on top of the mashed potatoes.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until everything is heated through.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy your hearty meal!
