Ingredients

  • 1 kg turnips
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 250 ml vegetable broth or water
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop 1 kilogram of turnips into cubes.
  2. Add the turnip cubes to the crockpot.
  3. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter and pour it over the turnips.
  4. Add 4 cloves of minced garlic to the crockpot.
  5. Pour in 250 milliliters of vegetable broth or water.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours until turnips are tender.
  8. Once cooked, mash the turnips directly in the crockpot until creamy.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve warm.
