Cilantro Lime Turkey Chili Verde

Ingredients

  • 500g ground turkey
  • 300g tomatillos, chopped
  • 2 cans (400g each) white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 250ml chicken broth
  • 60ml lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 30g fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Dollop of sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground turkey over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the browned turkey to the crockpot along with chopped tomatillos, diced green chilies, and white beans.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and lime juice, then stir in garlic, cumin, and cilantro.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until all ingredients are tender.
