Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef chuck, cubed
  • 4 medium carrots, sliced
  • 4 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 330 ml Guinness beer
  • 500 ml beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 200 g frozen peas

Instructions

  1. In a crockpot, combine the cubed beef, carrots, potatoes, and onion.
  2. Sprinkle the flour over the ingredients and stir to coat.
  3. Pour in the Guinness beer and beef broth, followed by the Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and bay leaf.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the beef is tender.
  6. About 30 minutes before serving, mix in the peas.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
