Ingredients

  • 500g fresh beets
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 250ml water

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the beets, then slice them into rounds.
  2. Place the sliced beets in the crockpot.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, butter, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Pour the brown sugar mixture over the sliced beets in the crockpot.
  5. Add water to cover the beets halfway.
