Ingredients

  • 2 lamb shanks (about 800g)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 500ml red wine
  • 2 carrots, chopped (optional)
  • 2 potatoes, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the lamb shanks generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the lamb shanks on all sides until browned.
  3. Transfer the shanks to the crockpot.
