Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 120 ml maple syrup
  • 60 ml bourbon
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ground mustard
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken wings by patting them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix together ½ cup of maple syrup, ¼ cup of bourbon, ¼ cup of soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of ground mustard.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste, then toss the chicken wings in the sauce until well coated.
  4. Transfer the chicken wings into a crockpot, pour the remaining sauce over them, and cover.
  5. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the wings are tender.
  6. For a crispy finish, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C), place the cooked wings on a baking sheet, and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy!
