Crockpot Spaghetti Squash with Tomato Basil Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 medium spaghetti squash
  • 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil, to taste
  • Grated cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  2. Place the squash halves in the crockpot, cut side up.
  3. In a bowl, mix together crushed tomatoes, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the tomato mixture over the squash halves in the crockpot.
  5. Sprinkle fresh basil on top of the sauce.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until the squash is tender.
